designer's story

Travel Dovely

As a child, I began sketching with hopes of becoming a fashion designer.  After joining the United States Army, I studied Fashion Merchandising & Retail Marketing.

Following graduation, my travels began. After a few years, I decided to get back into school to study Fashion Design. I then graduated, and continued traveling domestically and internationally. While designing custom pieces in my free time, I began to see a pattern. All of my designs had multiple ways of wearability.

I have always been the type to overpack for a trip, whether it be long or short. I'm not a fan of recycling outfits everyday, so I shove as much as I can into my suitcase. Dragging my heavy suitcase through the cobblestone streets or up sandy hills, were not the most pleasurable experiences.

With my design style, why not create apparel that offer multiple outfits in one?  Travelers can pack less clothing with the same number of outfits.  This creates more space for more pieces, or less weight with less pieces to lug around the world!

Traveling the world is an amazing thing. Traveling the world fashionably is even better!
